Not-found redirects

What this is

When someone visits a broken or missing short link on your custom domain, you can send them to a fallback page instead of an error.

Before you start

  • Not-found redirects must be available on your plan.
  • You have a verified custom domain (for per-domain redirects).

Steps

Per-domain redirect

  1. Open Domains.
  2. Find your verified domain.
  3. Under 404 redirect, enter a Fallback URL (for example https://yourcompany.com).
  4. Save the setting.

Workspace default

  1. Open Workspace Settings.
  2. Under 404 redirects, set the workspace-wide Fallback URL.
  3. Click Save changes.

Per-domain settings override the workspace default. Leave a domain's field empty to use the workspace default.

What happens next

Visitors who hit a missing link on your custom domain are redirected to your fallback URL.

Tips

  • Point the fallback to your homepage or a helpful "page not found" page.
  • See Workspace 404 redirect for workspace-level settings.
